Formulate Labs provides contract manufacturing, formulation development, and related services to business customers through our online platform at formulatelabs.ai. Information shall only be collected and used as outlined in this document. Formulate Labs has no responsibility for content on other websites that you may encounter while navigating our platform.

This policy applies to information collected through the formulatelabs.ai platform and related services. The policy is effective as of January 1, 2026.

As a contract manufacturing and formulation development platform, Formulate Labs collects various types of information to provide our services effectively. The information we collect depends on how you interact with our platform:

  • Account Information: When you register for our platform, we collect your name, email address, company information, billing address, and payment information necessary to provide our services.
  • Platform Usage Data: When you use our logged-in portal experience, we collect information about your formulation projects, product development activities, material selections, and interactions with our tools.
  • Material Orders: When you purchase raw materials or other products through our platform, we collect order details, shipping information, and transaction data.
  • Formulation Data: We collect and store proprietary formulation information, ingredient specifications, product requirements, and other technical data you provide or create using our development tools.

You may unsubscribe from our marketing communications at any time by clicking on the link in the footer of every email or by contacting our team.

Platform and Portal Data

Our platform provides tools for formulation development, product creation, and manufacturing management. When you use these tools, we collect and process data necessary to deliver our services, including:

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of the State of California and have an established business relationship with Formulate Labs, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Civil Code Section 1798.83, including:

  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Formulate Labs does not respond to "do not track" (DNT) browser signals. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Formulate Labs discloses personally-identifying information only to those employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Formulate Labs' behalf or to provide our manufacturing and development services, and (ii) have agreed not to disclose it to others. This may include:

  • Manufacturing partners and suppliers involved in fulfilling your orders
  • Shipping and logistics providers for material and product delivery
  • Payment processors for transaction handling
  • Service providers who assist with platform operations

Formulate Labs will not rent or sell your personally-identifying information to anyone for their own marketing purposes without your consent. We disclose information only when required to do so by law (such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request), or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Formulate Labs, third parties, or the public at large.

Confidential Business Information: Your formulation data, product specifications, and other proprietary business information are treated as confidential. We do not share this information with other customers or third parties except as necessary to provide our services to you.

Aggregated and Anonymous Data

Formulate Labs may collect and use aggregated, anonymized data about platform usage to improve our services, develop new features, and understand industry trends. This aggregated data does not identify individual users or businesses and may be shared with partners or used in public reports. We will never share your specific formulations, business information, or personally-identifying data in any aggregated reports.

Business Transfers

If Formulate Labs, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Formulate Labs goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Formulate Labs may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy. Aside from the foregoing, we do not sell or share your personal information.

Formulate Labs provides B2B services for contract manufacturing and formulation development. Our platform is intended for use by businesses and professionals, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are not authorized to act on behalf of a business entity, you should not use our platform or provide information through our services.

Privacy Policy Changes

Formulate Labs may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Formulate Labs' sole discretion. Formulate Labs encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy.

Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

Data Retention

Formulate Labs retains your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Certain data must be retained for longer periods due to regulatory and quality compliance requirements:

  • Manufacturing Records: Batch records, quality control data, and production documentation are retained in compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Records: Transaction and billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.
  • Account Information: Retained for the duration of your business relationship and as needed for legal or compliance purposes.

Data Deletion Request

If you wish to request the deletion of your data held by Formulate Labs, direct your request to us via email at deletion@formulatelabs.ai. In your email, specify your name, company, and the email address associated with your account. This information will enable us to accurately identify and process your data deletion request.

Upon receiving your request, Formulate Labs commits to deleting or anonymizing your personal and business data within our systems. We aim to complete this process within 90 days of receiving your request.

Important: Due to regulatory requirements in the personal care and cosmetics manufacturing industry, Formulate Labs is legally obligated to retain certain manufacturing quality records, batch documentation, and production records. These records are retained in compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and ISO 22716 requirements, and are not used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties unrelated to regulatory compliance.
