Phytochemistry note

We cook the raw botanical powder into the selected carrier. The botanical carries polar phenolics, flavonoid glycosides, and related extractable fractions. Those markers support antioxidant and skin-conditioning cosmetic stories. This is not a solvent isolate or a standardized marker extract. Lot identity appears on the COA and TDS.

Quality & claims

Quality, process, and what we will (and will not) claim.

This is a ready-to-use cosmetic extract stock, not a finished consumer product and not a standardized marker isolate. We cook the raw botanical powder into the selected hydroglycerin or oil carrier. Aqueous lots are released on pH, organoleptic, TAMC, and TYMC (total counts only). Oil macerates are released on organoleptic only. A sample COA is on this page; the lot-specific COA ships with the order.

What we sell

A made-to-order cosmetic extract stock in 1 kg, 5 kg, and 17 kg. Choose aqueous hydroglycerin (base + preservation) or, where offered, an oil macerate. Strength is Standard or Concentrated. We sell the INCI extract in our carrier - not a supplier trade-name SKU and not a finished leave-on product.

How it is made

We cook the raw botanical powder into the selected hydroglycerin or oil carrier on our robotic platform, then fill to order. Aqueous stocks ship preserved at the system you select. Oil macerates ship anhydrous (no water-phase preservative). Extracted solids on the composition bar are modeled from the starting botanical load - they are not an HPLC assay.

Standard extract QC

Organoleptic (all stocks): appearance, odor, consistency
Aqueous only: pH (typical 4.5–5.5 for the selected preservative)
Aqueous only: TAMC < 100 CFU/g and TYMC < 10 CFU/g (total counts; no pathogen panel)
Oil macerates: organoleptic only - no pH, TAMC, or TYMC

Not on the default panel: marker assays, heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, or individual pathogen screens. Ask if you need those quoted.

What we can claim

Cosmetic structure/function language only: skin- or hair-conditioning, antioxidant cosmetic stories, and appearance-based well-aging positioning supported by published literature. INCI, composition, SDS/TDS, and a lot COA. Compatible with intended cosmetic use under FDA cosmetic rules and EU 1223/2009 when the finished formula is properly assessed.

What we cannot claim

No disease, treatment, cure, or prevent claims. No ingestible / TCM drug positioning. No guarantee that published pathways will reproduce in your finished formula. Not certified organic, COSMOS, vegan, kosher, halal, or non-GMO unless a separate certificate is issued. We do not sell this as a dietary supplement. We do not name a vendor or country of origin for the incoming powder on this page.

Documents with the order

SDS and TDS for the selected recipe (links above swap with your selection). Sample COA on this page for the standard QC panel. Lot-specific COA ships with every batch. Custom loading, alternate carriers, or a fuller regulatory packet - email materials@formulatelabs.ai.

What exactly ships?

A bulk cosmetic extract stock in 1 kg, 5 kg, or 17 kg. Aqueous lots use Water + Propanediol + Glycerin or classic hydroglycerin, with a selectable preservation system. Oil macerates (where offered) ship in a carrier oil, unpreserved. Botanical INCI is Bidens Pilosa Herb Extract. The finished-product INCI is the full selected deck in descending order. We sell the INCI extract in our carrier, not a supplier trade-name SKU.

How is it made?

We start from the raw botanical powder and cook it into the selected hydroglycerin or oil carrier on our robotic platform, then fill to order. Aqueous stocks ship preserved at the system you select. Oil macerates ship anhydrous (no water-phase preservative). Extracted solids on the composition bar are modeled from the starting botanical load - they are not an HPLC marker assay.

What is on the COA?

Aqueous: appearance, odor, consistency, pH, TAMC < 100 CFU/g, TYMC < 10 CFU/g (total counts only - no pathogen panel). Oil: organoleptic only; no pH, TAMC, or TYMC. The sample COA on this page shows representative passing numbers. Your lot COA carries the real lot number and measurements. Marker assays, heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, and individual pathogen screens are not on the default panel. Ask if you need those quoted.

Is this a standardized marker isolate?

No. This is a whole-botanical powder extraction into the selected carrier, not a solvent isolate and not a standardized marker extract unless a separate assay is specified and quoted. Composition percentages for extracted solids are modeled from starting botanical load.

Where is the botanical from, and is the stock certified?

Stock is manufactured to order in Fenton, MO. Incoming botanical powder varies by lot. We do not list a vendor or country of origin on this page. The finished extract stock is not certified organic, COSMOS, vegan, kosher, halal, or non-GMO unless a separate certificate is issued. No fragrance is added. Full deck disclosure is on the SDS for the selected recipe.

What can we claim on a finished formula?

Cosmetic structure/function language only: skin- or hair-conditioning, antioxidant cosmetic stories, and appearance-based well-aging positioning. Published literature is due diligence, not finished-product claim substantiation. Do not claim diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of disease. Do not position this as an ingestible, TCM drug, or dietary supplement.

Lead time and shelf life?

Made to order on our robotic platform. Aqueous target shelf life is 12–18 months at room temperature, 18–24 months refrigerated, preservative-dependent. Oil macerates are similar unopened ranges; protect from light and heat. Use-by on the lot COA governs the batch you receive.
