About the Role
As an AI-Native Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager, you will own the sourcing and procurement of raw materials used in our manufacturing operations. This includes identifying suppliers, negotiating pricing, managing purchasing workflows, and ensuring materials are available to support client production.
Our platform supports brands across personal care, cosmetics, pet care, and other chemistry-based product categories. This role ensures the ingredients and materials required to manufacture these products are sourced reliably, cost-effectively, and at the speed our operations require.
This is not a traditional procurement role. You will work closely with founders, engineers, and product teams to help build smarter sourcing systems. We expect this role to actively leverage modern AI tools and internal software platforms to automate supplier research, pricing intelligence, purchasing workflows, and supply chain coordination.
The ideal candidate combines strong purchasing experience with a systems mindset and a willingness to experiment with AI-driven operational tools.
This is a fully remote role.
What You'll Do
- Source raw materials and ingredients required for client manufacturing projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with ingredient suppliers and distributors.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing agreements with vendors.
- Create and manage purchase orders and monitor supplier delivery timelines.
- Track ingredient pricing and supplier performance using internal systems.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials arrive in time for manufacturing runs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve digital purchasing workflows.
- Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate supplier research, pricing analysis, and purchasing operations.
- Help develop automation and internal tooling that improves procurement speed and transparency.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to reduce costs and improve supplier reliability.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Experience sourcing raw materials for manufacturing environments.
- Strong familiarity with industries such as personal care, cosmetics, pet care, food, or chemical manufacturing.
- Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Comfort working with pricing data, vendor comparisons, and cost optimization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Systems thinker who enjoys improving workflows and operational processes.
- Highly comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate research and operational work.
- Self-directed and high-agency - comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
