About the Role
As Product Manager (Manufacturing Software / ERP), you'll own the roadmap for the core software systems that power our production environments. This includes batch execution, material tracking, inventory management, workflow orchestration, compliance tooling, and internal operator interfaces.
Our manufacturing platform is not a generic ERP - it is tightly integrated with robotics, automation, and AI-driven optimization systems. You will define how physical production maps to digital workflows, ensuring reliability, traceability, and operational efficiency at scale.
This is a high-agency role for someone who understands that manufacturing software must be pragmatic, resilient, and deeply aligned with real-world operations. You will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and leadership to turn operational complexity into clean, scalable systems.
This is a full-time role based in California, with in-person collaboration expected.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the roadmap for manufacturing software systems, including ERP, MES-like workflows, and operator tooling.
- Design digital batch records, material traceability systems, and production scheduling frameworks.
- Translate factory workflows into scalable, structured software processes.
- Partner with engineering to implement secure, reliable, and auditable production systems.
- Work with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance alignment and process clarity.
- Prioritize features that improve throughput, reduce errors, and increase transparency.
- Define key metrics for production efficiency, material utilization, and operational health.
- Balance speed of iteration with long-term system integrity and maintainability.
- Continuously gather feedback from operators and leadership to refine workflows.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of product management experience in enterprise software, ERP, or operational systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, or process-driven environments.
- Comfortable working with backend engineers on data models, workflows, and system architecture.
- Ability to translate messy real-world processes into structured digital systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort defining metrics and operational KPIs.
- High agency and comfort making decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication skills across engineering, production, and leadership teams.
- Actively leverages modern AI tools to accelerate documentation, analysis, and product iteration.
- Nice-to-haves: MES systems, batch manufacturing, GMP environments, industrial automation integration.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation with equity.
- Ownership over mission-critical systems that run real-world production.
- Opportunity to modernize and redefine manufacturing software from first principles.
- High-autonomy environment with direct impact on company growth.
- A fast-moving team focused on building real infrastructure for adaptive manufacturing.
