About the Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for generating new pipeline across our two core business lines: our Gen 3 robotics manufacturing platform and our contract manufacturing operations.
This is not a script-reading role. You will identify, research, and engage high-potential brands, manufacturers, and partners who can benefit from next-generation, AI-driven production systems. You'll open doors, qualify opportunities, and hand off high-quality meetings to senior sales leadership.
You will typically be assigned to one lane - either outbound for our contract manufacturing (Formulate Labs) or for Gen 3 platform leasing - but you should understand both offerings at a high level.
This role is ideal for someone hungry, resilient, and creative in how they generate conversations. High agency matters more than pedigree.
This is a full-time remote role.
What You'll Do
- Identify and research target accounts across personal care, CPG, manufacturing, and related industries.
- Execute outbound prospecting via email, phone, LinkedIn, and creative outreach methods.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on fit and opportunity potential.
- Schedule discovery calls and product demos for Account Executives or leadership.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and track pipeline activity.
- Continuously refine messaging based on feedback and performance data.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing to sharpen positioning and value articulation.
- Learn the technical foundations of our Gen 3 platform and manufacturing capabilities.
- Hit and exceed outbound activity and pipeline generation targets.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, or outbound prospecting preferred.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with founders, operators, and executives.
- Strong written communication skills - especially for outbound messaging.
- Resilient and comfortable with rejection.
- Highly organized and process-oriented.
- High agency - you create opportunities instead of waiting for them.
- Comfort learning technical concepts and communicating them clearly.
- Actively leverages AI tools to research accounts, draft outreach, and optimize messaging.
- Interest in manufacturing, robotics, or next-generation production systems is a plus.
